TRAC Athletics launches new TRAC Sixes League

Described by World Lacrosse as a version of the sport that “blends many of the most popular aspects of the field and box games”, sixes lacrosse is coming to the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre this summer!

TRAC Athletics is proud to launch one of the first youth sixes leagues anywhere on the planet through the TRAC Sixes League scheduled to start July 10th at the facility’s phenomenal outdoor turf field in Oakville, Ontario.

Unable to roll out the previously announced Spring Invitational League due to the most recent provincially-mandated, pandemic-related restrictions, the TRAC Sixes League allows athletes to get back on the field in a safe, fun, and competitive environment by playing a version of the sport that everyone is talking about but few have had the opportunity to try.

“We feel this new league will allow us to provide an even more exciting and engaging experience for our athletes,” said TRAC Athletics Director and recently named National Lacrosse League Hall of Fame inducteeColin Doyle. “The TRAC Athletics staff have closely followed the rollout of sixes by World Lacrosse and feel this version of the sport will allow our players to develop skillsets that will benefit them no matter if they compete in field, box or both. Plus, the gameplay is extremely fun, fast, athletic, and challenging. We’re thrilled to be able to offer sixes at the TRAC this summer.”
