Register for Rock Stars Boys Evaluation Camp & Girls ID Camp

TRAC Athletics has officially opened registration for the Rock Stars Boys Evaluation Camp that will begin this July and has also confirmed camp details for the Rock Stars Girls ID Camp scheduled throughout June. Both events will take place at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) – the home of the Toronto Rock and the Rock Stars Elite Lacrosse Program.

As recently announced, the Rock Stars are a highly skilled field and box lacrosse program that will provide players with the best available coaching, training, and competition in the country while travelling and hosting elite events in Canada and the United States. The Rock Stars will include boys’ and girls’ teams starting at the U12 level and all the way up to U17, as well as a developmental program for U11s.

TRAC Athletics Directors Doyle and Rogers will also lead the girls’ camp, but will be joined by Troyhann Santos and Erica Evans, who are two of the country’s most accomplished collegiate players, Team Canada standouts, highly regarded coaches in field & box lacrosse, and leaders in the growth & development of the female game both nationally & internationally.

“We’re thrilled with the staff that have committed to these two events,” said Doyle. “While these camps are a critical stage of the Rock Stars player identification and evaluation process, players attending will benefit greatly from the coaching, instruction, and guidance I know this talented group will provide. We’re anticipating the camps to provide a highly skilled and competitive playing environment for players as well.”

A full-time coaching staff for both programs will be announced later this spring and summer.

The Evaluation Camp will be subject to current COVID-19 restrictions. The risk-free registration cost of attending this four-day camp is $150 (+HST).

Players will receive high-level coaching and instruction during the Evaluation Camp while TRAC Athletics staff evaluates talent. All training and gameplay will take place at the TRAC in Oakville.

Due to extremely high demand it is advised players sign up as soon as possible.

Girls ID Camp

The Rock Stars Girls Elite Lacrosse Program will be a hybrid approach to training and competition.

While the Rock Stars Girls Evaluation Camp will take place later this summer (dates & times TBA), TRAC Athletics staff will be hosting a Rock Stars Girls ID Camp as an initial stage of perspective player identification. The ID Camp will be subject to current COVID-19 restrictions. The risk-free registration cost of attending this three-day camp is $100 (+HST).

The ID Camp will be hosted at the TRAC in Oakville and allow players to get back on the field & floor, receive elite training from a high-profile TRAC Athletics coaching staff, and provide Rock Stars coaches an early look at their field & box lacrosse capabilities. The camp will include small-sided station work (10 players/station). Players will cycle through 4-6 non-contact stations each week. Stations will be skill-based in both box & field lacrosse, and also include conditioning. In addition to a box or field lacrosse stick, the only other equipment required for the ID Camp are goggles and a mouthguard. Rock Stars coaches will identify 25 players in each division to compete for a roster spot at an Evaluation Camp in August (full box & field equipment required), which will include contact drills and competitive box & field gameplay.

Due to extremely high demand it is advised players sign up as soon as possible.
