2023 Spring Invitational: Everything you need to know

The TRAC Athletics Spring Invitational is a high-level boys U13, U15 and U17 two-day box lacrosse tournament hosted by the Rock Stars Elite Lacrosse Program during March Break at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre.

Whether you’re playing in the event, watching from the stands or following along online, here’s everything you need to know for the second annual TRAC Athletics Spring Invitational.

Teams, schedules and scores

U13: London, Owen Sound, St. Kitts, Rock Stars 2011 and Rock Stars 2012

U15: Burlington, Clarington, Gryphons, Orangeville, Rock Stars 2009 and Rock Stars 2010

U17: Clarington, Gryphons, Kraken, Dufferin Dusters, Rock Stars 2007 and Rock Stars 2008

Tournament rules

The TRAC Athletics Spring Invitational will be officiated using the Ontario Lacrosse Association box lacrosse rulebook. Rules & additional notes:

– Three-minute warmup prior to the start of games
– Wooden goalie sticks are permitted
– Three 15-minus periods, running clock unless the score is within two with under two minutes to play in the final period
– Dunking not permitted
– Minor box nets will be used, not NLL-sized nets
– Each game will end with a three-player shoutout no matter the score. Goals will not count towards the final score unless the score is tied.

TRAC snack bar & Toronto Rock Lacrosse Shop

Both the snack bar (opens 9am) and Toronto Rock Lacrosse Shop (opens 11am) will be open during the Spring Invitational. Both destinations are to your immediate left upon entering the front doors of the facility.

Game arrival and locker-room assignments

Teams will be assigned locker rooms which will be posted on the monitors outside the entrance of both the blue and red pads. Players will have access to their assigned locker room a minimum 15 minutes before their scheduled game.
