Second annual Border Wars returning to the TRAC this December
For the second straight year, the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) will host Border Wars – a high-level box lacrosse event featuring teams from Ontario and top US Box Lacrosse Association (USBOXLA) sanctioned players & programs.
The tournament is presented in partnership with the National Lacrosse League’s (NLL) Toronto Rock, USBOXLA and TRAC Athletics.
Border Wars will take place from December 16-18, 2022 and feature four divisions at the U13, U15, U17 and High School Elie level.
In addition to seven Rock Stars teams taking part, other top talent in Ontario will also be there, plus USBOXLA participants hailing from all over the United States, including: Arizona, California, Colorado, Minnesota, New Jersey and New York. Most if not all teams competing will be led by past or present NLL players & coaches.
“Last year’s edition of Border Wars was a favourite tournament for many of our players,” said TRAC Athletics Director & Toronto Rock legend Colin Doyle, “Clubs have already committed several weeks prior to this year’s announcement even taking place, which just shows how highly anticipated this young event already is.
“With more teams, players and regions taking part, we plan on making 2022’s Border Wars even bigger & better than last year!”
In coming weeks, TRAC Athletics will confirm the high-profile clubs & coaches that are already committed to the 2022’s Border Wars. Although the event is currently at capacity, if a spot in a division should become available, please contact Colin Doyle now to express your interest (cdoyle@torontorock.com).
