The Jr. Rock are the highest level of team play in TRAC Athletics programming – the culmination of a player excelling through the Rock Elite Development League (REDL), Rock Elite League (REL), the Rock Stars Elite Lacrosse Development Program and the Rock Stars Elite Lacrosse Program.
Traditionally played at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in late August, the Jr. Rock compete in the prestigious Jr. NLL Tournament. The high-level box lacrosse event features the best youth players representing the league’s pro franchises at the U17, U15, and U13 age level.
Held annually in Oakville at the TRAC and other nearby arenas, the Jr. Rock have won a record eleven gold medals at the tournament since it first started in 2013. Past teams have included players who are now standouts in the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League, NCAA, and even the National Lacrosse League. Jr. Rock teams are coached by current TRAC Athletics staff and other past & present Toronto Rock alumni. In 2019, Jr. NLL talent from all over North America was featured: Alberta, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, New York, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Pennsylvania, and Saskatchewan.
Starting in 2022, the Jr. Rock roster will be selected exclusively through the Rock Stars Elite Lacrosse Program.
