Oakville Buzz back at the TRAC for 2023 OJLL season

For the second straight Ontario Junior Lacrosse League season, the Oakville Buzz will be playing all of their home games at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre.

Last year, the Buzz had their strongest Junior A season yet, finishing 13-7 after the regular season, good enough for fourth in the standings. The team was led by former Rock Elite League MVP and last summer’s Gaylord Powless Memorial Award recipient, Will Sheehan (Yale University), goalie Aden Walsh (Vancouver Warriors), who was a finalist for the league’s Goalie of the Year Award, and recent Toronto Rock draftee, goalie Sam Haines.

In recent months the team has named David Brock (Halifax Thunderbirds) as their new general manager, drafted Kayle Ryan (Clarington) in January’s OJLL Entry Draft, and prior to the draft, protected a number of former & current Rock Stars, Rock Elite League & Jr. Rock players: Thomas Bagnall, Jameson Steele, Zach Constantopolous, Matthew Kirchmair, Zachary Wright and Angus Walko.

The TRAC also hosted all of the OJLL’s games during their shortened 2020 season during the pandemic, plus the league’s last two Entry Drafts.
