Everything you need to know for the Canadian Box Showcase

The Canadian Box Showcase, a two-day event that will feature Ontario’s top box lacrosse players (2004-2008 birth years), takes place at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) from July 6-7, 2022.

Whether you’re playing in the event, watching from the stands or following along from home, here’s everything you need to know for the highly anticipated event.

Player arrivals

We ask that players arrive at least an hour early before their first game in order to check in with their coach and receive their Canadian Box Showcase jersey and shorts. Players can find what team they’re on here (click on your birth year/division and click the teams to find your name). Team names and locker-room assignments will be available on the monitors just outside both the red and blue pads. Your coach will be waiting for you there with your jersey and shorts. Do not swap your assigned jersey with a different jersey in the locker room. Your player profile and all stats are associated with your assigned jersey number.

Coach arrivals

Coaches are asked to check in at the front desk just inside the main entrance of the TRAC. A TRAC Athletics representative will escort you to the coaches room where you can pick up your event package. Although included in your event package, you can also view all schedules and rosters here. A slightly more detailed roster will be available in your event package. For any questions regarding players, please email Alan Tsang, atsang@torontorock.com.

  • Ten seconds to clear half (not eight)
  • Plastic goalie sticks only (no wooden sticks)
  • Three 15-minute periods, running clock unless the score is within two with under two minutes to play in the final period
  • For all showcase games, if the score is tied after regulation time, a three-player shootout will determine the winner (no ties), additional single rounds to determine a winner if still tied after three shooters
  • Over-and-back rule will be enforced
