Tryouts taking place early to mid-July at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre
The 2025-26 Rock Stars tryout process will include an Open Tryout which will take place in early July, plus a Final Call Back on July 10. Players who are asked to move on after the Open Tryouts will be invited to the Final Call Back, which will serve as the final tryout day prior to Rock Stars rosters being selected.
All tryouts will be held indoors and outdoors at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre in Oakville, Ontario.
Additional details of this year’s tryout process plus a review of the 2025-26 training & tournament schedule will be shared by TRAC Athletics Director Colin Doyle during our annual parent meetings which will take place at the TRAC approximately 45 minutes before each age group’s tryout time on Day 1.
Tryouts for the following birth years will be held this year:
Boys: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015
Girls: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013
Boys/Girls Developmental: 2016/2017
The Final Call Back will not apply to the Rock Stars Developmental Team (2016/2017) led by TRAC Athletics Director Dan Dawson. The Developmental Team will be a training-only team.
There will be a 2008 & 2009 Boys Team, but no formal tryouts will take place. Last year’s 08s & 09s will be contacted shortly. Players interested in playing for either of these teams next year can contact Colin Doyle (cdoyle@torontorock.com).
This past fall & winter, the Rock Stars trained at the TRAC weekly (box, field and sixes), took part in competitive league play through the Rock Elite League (for boys age groups only), and competed in various events & tournaments at the TRAC, within the province, and in the US. A similar schedule will take place for the 2025-26 Rock Stars season. More specific details regarding training, tournament, etc. dates will be shared during the pre-tryout parent meetings.
The tryouts will include both box & field lacrosse evaluations by TRAC Athletics & Rock Stars coaches. Player headshots and apparel fittings will also take place during this year’s tryouts (additional details TBA). Players will receive a reversible TRAC Athletics pinnie provided by the Toronto Rock Lacrosse Shop as part of the tryout cost.
