Second Annual Canadian Box Showcase: July 10 & 11, 2023
The Second Annual Canadian Box Showcase will be taking place at the world-class Toronto Rock Athletic Centre on July 10 & 11, 2023.
The two-day event will feature some of the top lacrosse players (aged 13 to 17) from both Canada and the United States. During last year’s inaugural event, elite-level players from British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New York, Virginia and other US states showcased their skills in front of NCAA, CUFLA and Junior coaches & staff.
Players from the 2022 CBS have since committed to NCAA programs, were highly scouted & later selected for recent Junior A drafts, and have further advanced their overall recruiting status.
New engaging format
The 2023 CBS will feature a new format that will include a field lacrosse session led by some of the high-profile collegiate coaches attending this year’s event.
While the box lacrosse component will allow players to shine in their more prominent lacrosse discipline, attending coaches can now see how well those highly desirable box skills transfer to the field.
All divisions will play one full day outdoors (field) and another indoors (box) on the TRAC’s NCAA-regulation field and two indoor turf pads.
The field lacrosse day will include both drills and gameplay, while the box component will be straight gameplay. With a capacity limit at all age groups, players can expect optimal attention from the collegiate coaches running these sessions (approx. 1:7 coach/player ratio). TRAC Athletics’ industry-leading staff will coach each division’s box lacrosse day.
Four stacked divisions
The following age groups (DOB) will have their own division at the 2023 CBS:
2006
2007
2008
2009/2010
Players will be assigned to a single roster, and then train & compete with the same teammates in both disciplines during the two-day event.
High-profile coaches
TRAC Athletics has already confirmed a number of high-profile NCAA coaches and are in the process of locking in several more for this year’s event. Attending coaches will be announced in coming weeks.
