21U Rock Elite League year-end awards announcement and MVP finalists

TRAC Athletics is proud to present the finalists for the 21U Rock Elite League MVP Award, as well as officially announcing additional end-of-season accolades that will be presented later this month.

This is the first REL season that a lineup of year-end awards will be presented to players and coaches. The awards have been named in honour of Toronto Rock legends who excelled in their position of play and also wore the Rock jersey with pride during their historic National Lacrosse League careers.

Earlier this year, TRAC Athletics named fall season REDL & U17 REL MVP finalists and winners for the first time. MVPs for the current REDL & U17 REL winter season will be awarded after playoffs have been completed.

Team Kri captured this year’s 21U REL Cup after bettering Team Manns, 10-7, in the 2021/22 Finals.

Goalies of the Year: Bob Watson Award*
Defensive Player of the Year: Pat Coyle Award
Transition Player of the Year: Steve Toll Award
Scoring Champion (Points Leader): Colin Doyle Award
Assists Leader: Josh Sanderson Award
Goals Leader: Blaine Manning Award
Heart & Hustle: Sandy Chapman Award**
Coaching Staff of the Year: Terry Sanderson Award
Post-Season MVP: Dan Stroup Award

The Bob Watson Award will be presented to the goalie tandem/team deemed to be the season’s best.

The Sandy Chapman Award will be presented to the player that best exemplified the same drive, determination, heart and hustle that Rock defensive legend Sandy Chapman played with during his entire NLL career.
